The center of historical Transylvania – the city of Târgu-Mureș, located in the central-northern part of Romania, is located on both banks of the upper course of the Mureș River. In history it was the cultural center of the Szeklerland. The first building dedicated exclusively to culture was built in the city center between 1821 and 1822. Târgu-Mureș enjoys an interethnic coexistence of Romanian and Hungarian for years.

hundreds of lives annually, but also with the emergence of the Mobile Emergency, Resuscitation and Release Service (SMURD) which was established for the first time in Târgu-Mureș. From an industrial point of view, at the moment in Târgu-Mureș is the only Chemical Plant in Romania that still works -Azomureș.
